The PADI Divemaster Course is not just about diving, it is about controlling and organising situations, planning dive activities, recognising potential risks and being aware of your surroundings.
The PADI Divemaster Course consists of the following points and more:
Qualified Rescue Diver with 40 logged dives, CPR and First Aid certification completed within 24 months and medical clearance to dive. If you do not have all of these prerequisites that’s not a problem, you can complete any courses and dives with us and build yourself up ready to start your Divemaster Course!
The PADI Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.
Topics and practical workshops include:
18 years or older
Rescue Diver, 40 logged dives, CPR and First Aid certification within 24 months, medical clearance to dive
Approximately 50 hours
You’ll use your basic scuba equipment and will need a pocket mask to practice in-water resuscitation. During exercises, you’ll work with an oxygen unit, floats, marker buoys and perhaps CPR mannequins.
An experienced Pissouri Bay Divers Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as your own first aid kit, which will be useful throughout your diving career.
