This course consists of five adventure dives, two of which are compulsory - Deep dive and Navigation Dive. The other three dives are of your choice or our recommendation and we have many to choose from. As this course builds up your skills you can take part in this straight after completing your Open Water Diver Course.
Many of the dives on this course are credited towards PADI Speciality courses allowing you to try different types of diving and finding out what you love the most. During this course you will think a lot more about planning your dives, controlling your buoyancy and monitoring your computer as you descend deeper and explore more dive sites.
Why not try:
To take part in this course you must be a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver and at least 12 years old. Young Divers may only participate in certain Adventure Dives due to age restrictions.
If you are already and Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.
You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper SCUBA diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.
Beyond using basic scuba equipment, when required Pissouri Bay Divers will supply you with a compass and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialised gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example you will need a dry suit for the Dry Suit Adventure Dive or recovery equipment for the Search and Recovery adventure dive.
Your Pissouri Bay Divers Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as a dive light for night diving or a lift bag for search and recovery diving.
